Freeport is honored to host the 16th Annual United States Annapolis Naval Academy’s Sail Training Squadron this year from Friday, August 8th to Monday, August 11th. Four single-mast sailing vessels will arrive early Friday morning at approximately 9:00 a.m. and spend the weekend docked at the Nautical Mile Esplanade on Woodcleft Avenue. On Saturday, August 9th and Sunday, August 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the sailboats will available for photo’s and tours conducted by the midshipmen, who will provide details regarding the Naval Academy’s four year college program.
