Neighborhood Watch committees, Civic Associations, and local non-profits can provide an effective partnership between residents, businesses, and the Freeport Police Department (FPD) to improve safety and prevent crime. Typically, a FPD representative can make an appearance at a designated residence, agreed upon meeting place, at the FPD Station House or Village Hall to discuss:
- Crime trends in Freeport.
- Safety and security of your home, person, vehicle, and children.
- How to recognize and report suspicious activity to the police.
- How to interact with neighbors in your group.
To organize a FPD representative appearance, please fill out a FPD Meeting/Appearance Request Form or call (516) 377-2246.
